Not content with doing denim, the brothers behind Guess have now cast their sights towards booze. Maurice , Paul , and Armand Marciano , cofounders of the ubiquitous purveyor of Canadian tuxedos , have now purchased Wally’s Wine & Spirits , WWD reports. The brothers’ plan is to take the Wally’s brand and develop its retail presence.
But the tight relationship between fashion and booze is hardly a new one. In fact, you could say the two are inextricable, which is sometimes for the better and sometimes the worst . Below we’ve rounded up six examples of high-fashion imbibing that mostly fall into the former category.

1. Matthew Williamson x Belvedere
In 2010 Belvedere Vodka , which has long held the fashion pack in high spirits, enlisted Matthew Williamson to design a kaftan inspired by its new flavor. The kaftan bears the label ‘Matthew Williamson for Belvedere Pink Grapefruit’, and was not-so-casually unveiled via a series of promotional events at a 6,000-square-foot pop-up erected in New York.

4. Jean Paul Gaultier x Piper Heidsieck
Jean Paul Gaultier’s torso-shaped perfume bottle is practically a collector’s item, so it’s little wonder Piper Heidsieck wanted to team up with him on a special limited edition bottle for their Brut Cuvée . The outcome was a sexy blend of Gaultier’s design aesthetic and Parisian nightlife, and came with a matching ice bucket and glasses.

Before Taylor Swift and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley there was Veuve Clicquot’s La Grande Dame, for which Emilio Pucci designed a sleeve in his signature Pucci pinks and the Veuve Clicquot orange. The print was an abstract representation of bubbles rising out of champagne flutes.
